FrontRunners Houston
Organized in 1984 to promote beginning, recreational and competitive running, FrontRunners provides support to men and women interested in running as a means of maintaining fitness and developing friendships. All club runs are non-competitive and informal. Each Thursday run is followed by swimming or hot-tubbing, and then dinner at a local restaurant. Runs are held Sundays at 8 a.m. and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Tennis Center at Memorial Park.

HAMS
HAMS is a group interested in riding motorcycles. A social is held once a month, in addition to a monthly planned ride and spontaneous rides every weekend. The members of the club are gay men, lesbian, or gay-friendly heterosexuals. All makes of motorcycles are accepted into the club. Dues are $30 a year.

Houston Invitational Tournament

Lone Star Volleyball Association
The LSVA is an all-inclusive volleyball league whose mission is to provide a safe, healthy, friendly, and fun atmosphere for athletic competition and sportsmanship to the Houston GLBT community and their friends. There are four different division of league play designed to ensure that everyone has fun, from Recreational to the ultra-competitive tournament teams of the Power division. First time visitors are always welcomed to come play for free. There are three 12-week sessions: May-August, September-early December, and January-early May. LSVA is a member of the North American Gay Volleyball Association and teams participate in many NAGVA tournaments around the country. They also host an annual tournament here in Houston. All games are played indoors at the Jerabeck Center on the campus of St. Thomas University, 4000 Mt. Vernon. Annual dues are $25 and season league fees are $25 and $50.

Rainbow Fishing Club
The club charters deep-sea fishing trips from Galveston on the New Buccaneer. Trips are 12 hours long. The boat can take up to 100 people. You can cook and grill on board, and the 2nd floor has a sun deck for all those sun worshippers. The club plans trips from April through October. Dues are $5 per year for a quarterly news letters.
